Jean Luc was born in the south of France, but he now lives and works in Paris. He graduated there at ESAM Design School (École Supérieure des Arts Modernes). He worked in advertisement and as an illustrator before becoming a visual artist.
In translucent cases bathed in light, time seems suspended, frozen like a 3D photographic snapshot. Immobilized images featuring insects versus cold and manufactured universes; hornets, adventurous ants but also a magical flight of butterflies smashing the scenery! As genuine statements of renaissance, the work of Jean Luc immerses us into a metaphorical, astonishing and poetic adventure.
