A successful working relationship sprouted from
a long friendship. These two Barcelona artists Marta Cañellas
and Silvia Angusto abandoned their individual careers in interior
design and architecture in1997 in order to collaborate, uniting
their respective talents on joint projects. Marta started
her artistic career by winning the Memorial Picasso prize
at a young age. Both women were guided early on by the strength
of their interests in art and design and by family influences.
With a shared ambition and appreciation of textures and design,
working together they seem to find a rare harmony, portraying
a perfect balance of colour, line and form in their work,
undoubtedly helped by their previous career choices.
Noticeable in their art is the experimentation with particular
materials such as wood, plaster, iron and ceramics, all assembling
to create highly decorative original pieces full of dynamic
creativity. Marta and Silvia are published in many art and
design magazines and frequently exhibit in numerous countries
such as the USA, Spain, Holland and the UK.

Guillot, and studied Architecture at the University of Barcelona.
