Born in Caracas in 1955, he completed his studies in Art and Design at the Instituto de Diseño Neuman where he graduated in 1978. Following this, he complemented his artistic studies with diverse courses in drawing, painting and carpentry. Parallel to this he developed his skills as a carpenter and furniture designer which helped his art work in its early stages with diverse techniques like the ensemble of pieces over wooden supports and the use  of industrial paints in the construction of what Fernando calls limit-objects. At the moment he is concentrating on the bi-dimentional with an accent on an iconographic content, images, like photograms from memory, which  remit an internal journey in his personal and perceptual world.
